Special Engineered Products

Just like other piping materials, plastics can be engineered for any application that meet the material’s conditions of service. Most  engineered plastic products are easier to fabricate and have much shorter delivery times than its metal competition.

Double Containment Piping System (DCP):

There are many plastic DCPs available in commonly-used thermoplastic piping materials in carrier pipe sizes from ½ to 12-inch diameter. Some of the systems are pre-assemble for fast deliveries. The other DCPs are built to order. Also, available for use with the DCPs are valve boxes, double-contained tanks and leak detection devices. One manufacturer also offers a split-type piping system used to retrofit an existing single-pipe system into a DCP.

Scrubbers, Ducting & Fans:

Not only can thermoplastics effectively handle liquids but corrosive air and fumes. CPVC, PP, PVC and PVDF scrubbers, scrubber packing, ducting and fans are available. Circular ducting is manufactured from 2- 36-inch diameter and in almost any size rectangular configuration. There are available for quick shipping severalthermoplastic centrifugal models and sizes of fans and blowers.

Fabrications:

There is a saying, “That if you can draw it, a good plastic fabricator can create it. Fittings, piping manifolds, tanks, ducting, work stations, & many other products using heat solvent fusion, machining, flanging and threading techniques will produce a final product that will meet the most exacting requirement of a demanding engineer.

Heat Exchangers:

There are 3 main types of plastic heat exchangers: Immersion, Tube Plate and Gas/Liquid. All are available in PE, PP and PVDF materials. These heat exchangers are attractive replacements for many long- delivery and expensive metal-alloyed exchangers.
