Standard Products

Standard products refer to those products that are immediately available and in stock for delivery by the manufacturer and/or the distributor. Thermoplastic piping systems offer a broad range of materials, products, sizes, and geometries.

Valves:

Almost every type of valve that exists in metal is available in many of the common types of plastic materials—CPVC, PP, PVC, and PVDF. ABS and PE piping systems have a limited number of valve types while PEX uses almost all metal valves in its piping systems. Most plastic valves can be manually or automatically controlled. For size ranges and availability check with the listed valve manufacturers in the industry link section.

Types of available valves are:

Angle/Ball/Butterfly/Check/Diaphragm/Float/Foot/Gate Globe/Goose Neck/Laboratory/Multiport/Needle/Pressure Relief/Pressure Regulator Solenoid

Strainers & Filters:

Wye and basket strainers are available in ABS, CPVC, PP and PVC materials from 3/8 to 4-inch pipe diameter. Bag and cartridge filters are available in CPVC, PP, PVC and PVDF materials in standard and specially fabricated designs.

Pumps:

Similar to valves, plastic pumps are available in many types, sizes and materials. The four major pump materials of construction are CPVC, PP, PVC and PVDF.

Types of available pumps are:

Barrel or Drum/Diaphragm/Flexible Liner/ Horizontal Centrifugal/ Magnetic Drive/ Metering/ Peristaltic/Submersible/Vertical Centrifugal

Flow Monitoring Equipment:

Valves are used mainly to regulate the flow of fluids. And in many cases on and off flow control is all that is required. With some processes, however, constant, fine-tuned flow, temperature, pressure and liquid level regulation is needed.

Types of available flow monitoring products in CPVC, PP, PVC and PVDF are:

Vortex Sensors/Rotor sensors/Conductivity and resistivity sensors/Temperature sensors, Pressure sensors/level sensors/gage guards and sight glasses

Tanks:

Most standard molded plastic tanks are available off-the-shelf from PE, PEX or PP materials and in sizes from one gallon to hundreds of gallon capacity.  There are standard tank type’s readily available in horizontal, vertical, conical and many other shapes. If a standard tank doesn’t fit the bill, fabricated tanks can be manufactured in any of the common plastic materials either in stand-alone construction or as a liner inside an existing fiberglass or metal tank. Tank adapters and vacuum breakers are also available in most of the common plastic piping materials

Sheet & Rod:

Sheet Rod and Tube in various plastic materials

Sheet Rod and Tube in various plastic materials

There are dozens of sheet, rod and other profile materials ready to be shipped in inventory by distributors and/or manufacturers. Most sheet is available in thickness’ of 1/8 to several inches and in 4 x 8- feet dimensions. Rods and profiles begin with very small diameters for use as hot-air welding rod up to 4-inches or greater diameters for special machining applications.

Cement/Primer:

ABS, CPVC and PVC piping systems, especially for aboveground use, are joined mostly by solvent cementing. If done properly, a solvent cemented joint has excellent properties and will last as long as the joined piping products. It is essential to choose the proper cement and primer for each application. On this website’s product manufacturers is a listing of the North American cement and primer manufacturers.
